I despise formality when it comes to vacations. The best travel websites should be fun as well as effective and efficient. There's nothing wrong with a professional, polished site. But, too often a travel site slips over to the dark side of the vacation planning boundary and becomes a pretentious and intimidating resource rather than one that hints at how much fun I'm going to have on that trip that I'm booking with them. If this is the case, that uber-efficient site is not going to make it to my list of fun travel websites.

The best travel sites for frivolous beach vacations might not suit business travelers with expense accounts as they tend to get irritable if the staff issues anything more than a crisp, polite greeting with an offer to help in any way possible. A salute might even be better as it would waste no time with pleasantries and words that mean little. Once the hand was off the brow, then the business class frequent flyer could get down to business.

A website with a user experience that's about as much fun as filling out your tax forms is not my idea of the best travel website or agency. If this is the kind of service that you want from a vacation or trip booking site , you will probably be wasting your time to hang around to check out my list of fun travel websites that offer great service and value and still manage to come across as human without the stuffed shirt attitude.

I'm not chasing you away from what I consider to be one of the best travel websites ever. Cheap Vacations and Travel Ideas , but if you don't find the information you need here, I would encourage you to give some of the businesses on my list of fun travel websites a shot!
