LAKE TAHOE VACATION SKI ADVICE
For optimal skiing conditions, most skiers recommend late January or February. I have also found that if you can wait to make your reservations at one of the recommended Lake Tahoe ski resorts until March, you may find that the snow just right. Plus, skiers can take advantage of the fact that the days are longer and the weather is a bit warmer. This translates into more time to ski Lake Tahoe.

Occasionally, if the winter is warmer than normal, the ski slopes in Lake Tahoe are light on coverage so you may want to make some phone calls to see what the conditions are before you book your trip. If skiing is at the top of your list of favorite things to do in Lake Tahoe, maybe you could wait to visit until after the Christmas holidays. Late winter often offers an excellent Lake Tahoe vacation when you have a good chance of catching the slopes when they are covered in just the right amount of snow.
