If this is your first visit, you should know that Squaw Valley Lodge has it all under one roof that is very helpful for first timers to the area.

I was very pleased to discover that I had booked a surprisingly large studio unit with a nicely equipped kitchen that had everything you might expect including a dishwasher. Hey, that might not sound like much but last spring break my buddies and I booked a vacation rental and nothing in the place worked! Here everything ran great and there was a nice bar.

The staff was helpful and pleasant the location of the lodge is convenient to shopping and restaurants. I noticed that it took me less than five minutes to walk to the cable car. This is very important to me because I hate vacations where you feel like your lodging has you feeling like you're on the outside looking in and have to go looking for fun stuff to do.

Leave the romantic remote areas to the honeymooners, I want to be in the heart of the activity and the location of the Squaw Valley Lodge is just perfect if that's what you like!
