VAIL VILLAGE RESORTS

There are several Vail Village resorts that have affordable rooms starting at The Wren ($140), the Austria Haus ($169.00), The Lodge at Vail ($164) and the Village Inn Plaza ($250.00). That might not sound cheap but if you check prices at some of the other best Colorado ski resorts you might just change your mind about that.

Other reasons that I prefer staying in Vail Village resorts over any of the other neighborhoods is that my wife and I enjoy taking sightseeing walks as well as skiing when on vacation and we like that the architecture and cobblestone streets look a lot like villages in the Swiss Alps. And here the cars don't ruin the atmosphere unlike other cities where you can't escape from heavy traffic.
